Description: It is a privilege to present this commemorative cookbook as a portion of HON-DAH a la FIESTA*, a Girl Scout National Event held in Arizona during the summer of 1968, HON-DAH a la FIESTA was conceived to give exceptional Senior Girl Scouts, representing communities throughout the country, an opportunity to participate in an enriching and timely conference. 

The purpose of the conference was to create an interest in, and an awareness of, the Mexican and Indian cultures and the ways in which they have influenced present-day life in the Southwest. A part of this unique heritage is the preparation and appreciation of fine food. 

This cookbook was compiled as a tangible expression of this heritage. The objective was to offer a collection possessing those qualities associated with this locale. Included are recipes from many of Arizona's outstanding citizens and friends of Girl Scouting. The whole-hearted gratitude of the editors is hereby expressed to our gourmet friends who have so generously contributed their culinary gems.
