Description: In August 1983, the first Wisconsin Czechs cookbook was presented to the organization. The cookbook committee introduced a collection of recipes representing the "cooks of our ancestry and their contributions to our heritage." The cookbook is alive and well and still finding its way into homes all over America and into some foreign countries.  

The "true ethnicity" of recipes was discussed at length and evolved into the idea that we as an ethnic group live in a society ever-changing and growing. We used recipes that are old favorites but included, also, those submitted by the younger generation to show our place in contemporary American life. With an contemporary eye to the 21st century. We remember our traditions of hard work, dedication to family, the joy of food preparation and enjoyment at the table.
