The Grill Room menu combines a knowledge of the finest European cooking traditions with an awareness of contemporary sauces and an international array of influences -- into New Orleans's own French, Spanish, and Southern accents, chef Kevin Graham and his brigade have blended Asian, Indian, and American flavors. A hearty cassoulet with spicy andouille sausage brings a Louisiana accent to a classic dish. Tuna covered with a crunchy coating of black and white sesame seeds is bathed in a smooth but sharp wasabi beurre blanc. Weaving pasta around a shrimp and crawfish puree easily creates a beautiful sugarcane pattern that is a pleasure to the eye as well as the palate. 

The Windsor Court Hotel, opened in 1984, has quickly succeeded in establishing itself as one of the finest luxury hotels in the United States. For the past five years it has been honored by the American Automobile Association, receiving the coveted Five Diamond Award for 1991, both for the hotel and also for its restaurant, the Grill Room. 

Zagat's 1990 United States Hotel Survey named the Windsor Court the second best hotel in the nation, ranking it just behind The Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas and above the Bel-Air Hotel in Los Angeles.
