Description: Member of the Detroit Women's Chapter of the Armenian General Benevolent Union gathered and published these Armenian recipes to perpetuate and honor old customs and pass them on to the growing generation of young Armenians in the United States. 

To the older generations of Armenians in this country, each recipe conjures up memories of native towns and villages. It is representative of a way of life and of customs which hark back over a thousand years. In a larger sense, these recipes are far more cosmopolitan than the title of the cookbook suggests. The recipes have been scaled down to the needs of the modern family.
