Description:  If you really want to enjoy your tailgate, keep the menu simple. Don't go overboard. It's a party after all and you should enjoy it, too. Do most of the prep at home. If game time is early, plan on a simple casserole, some sandwiches, quick-grilled foods, or other easy pre-game dishes that don't require long prep or cooking time in the parking lot.

Chances are you'll be hungry after the game, so that may be the best time to fire up your grill as the post-game traffic thins out. Of course, if you'll be watching the game on a TV set in the parking lot, you can eat, drink, and cook all day long.
