Description: The Star of India Auxiliary was formed in 1963, to foster interest in and to raise funds for the maintenance of the San Diego Maritime Museum. Its members serve as docents and tour guides aboard the ships.
Included in this volume of recipes from the ladies of the Star of India Auxiliary are reminiscences and recipes of some of the emigrants who traveled from the British Isles to the lands down under aboard the "Euterpe" (later named Star of India). Their descendents in New Zealand have graciously shared these recollections and some of their own recipes with us.
