The meal is Pantagruelian, but lucky is he who can treat himself to all the specialties of the various cities and districts in Sicily, to the fantastic fish dishes to the refined from the appetizers desserts, the pride of Sicilians the world over, without giving up the ghost! 

This Sicilian Cookery book of recipes is a beautiful and impossible culinary dream, bashfully entrusting to it two assignments which are two of my aspirations. First of all, to convey at least a breath of the spirit of this land, its "Sicilianness" which is so alive in me, to you, as well. Secondly, to emphasize that mark of great civility that has always taught every Sicilian to enjoy the time spent at the table as a pleasure and as a convivial occasion.
