Description: This German Heritage Recipes Cookbook is an outgrowth of the ASHHS by a group of dedicated people whose ancestors came from Schleswig-Holstein. These women were known for their abilities to serve hearty meals from their kitchens. Their recipes were many times from memory with a pinch of this, a threshers cup of that, half an egg shell of an ingredient or from dough the size of a walnut. It is the hope of the ASHHS cookbook committee to preserve the methods used by their ancestors.
