Description: The first Merry Mixer Column appeared in the Cleveland Plain Dealer in June 1930. It gave recipes and cooking directions in simple and detailed form, describing the measuring and mixing step by step from the beginning to serving. Eventually a Merry Mixer Cook Book was published that compiled recipes written in the same style as the column or from past column recipes.
