Description: Sisterhood of B'nai Israel Congregation collected recipes from the fundraising cookbooks of other Jewish organizations, with the ambitious plan of publishing the best recipes they could find. It didn't take long, however, to discover that so many wonderful recipes could not be fit into one book. Thus this cookbook focuses on appetizers and desserts. They asked hundreds of Jewish groups for their best recipes — the most interesting, the most unusual, the most delicious, the most traditional.
All recipes can be served by anyone observing Jewish dietary laws. Whenever feasible, original wording was retained. After all the selected recipes were assembled, the editors added a handful of their own personal favorites, which are labeled "Editors' Choice." The final result is a collection of those shining examples of cooking that everyone likes to pull out when the occasion calls for our most outstanding recipe.
