Description: Dorothy Zehnder has been the Kitchen Manager at the Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn for the past 36 years. She was born in Reese, Michigan and learned to cook from her German mother. As a young wife, she found herself in the middle of a restaurant kitchen in addition to a household one. Soon she was making cookies 25 dozen to a batch adapting recipes that originally made only three dozen.
Dorothy still works six days a week supervising kitchen operations with a restaurant staff of 500 employees. Her book includes an assortment of the delicious cookies and bars that enhance the dessert menu at the Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn Restaurant's dining rooms and are popular sellers at the Inn's Bake Shop.
