Next, we time traveled back to Dur own youth in Detroit, where our parents ignited our fire for cooking; and then mashed up everything we discovered into all-new classics. We also flew (in our minds, due to budget limitations) around the world in search of traditional recipes to update, rejiggered TV dinners into tasty made-from-scratch meals, and transformed desserts and breakfast dishes that sound familiar on paper into fresh experiences on your palate. Finally, we revisited some old-school fare, like chicken soup, fondue, and game-day dips.
All of the dishes here, and the great photographs that show them off, are brand-spanking new. And like a culinary King Tut, this priceless treasure trove of recipes will amaze generations forever.
