Description: The Chicago Evening American Cook Book is a nostalgic cookbook from a newspaper publisher from the past. The paper was published in the first part of the 1900s, and ceased publication in August 1939. The cookbook has all types of recipes. The original owner inscribed the opening page her name and a date of 1927. She also noted the White Cake recipes as "very good."

Condition: Interior pages have a great overall condition--only the opening spread has some newspaper clipping rub, the inscription and a faded crayon mark. The front cover has some wear in the cloth. Back cover has sizable spot of worn and spotted mesh cloth. The spine cloth is torn part way loose and boards are showing.
