Description: In the fall of 1981 the "Apple Barn and Cider Mill" opened for business. Its popularity has led to enlargements and improvements almost every year since.
Customers wanted a pleasant place to sit and enjoy their cider, so in 1982 a cider bar was added with an outside deck extending into the orchard. The cider bar accommodates 60 people and its centerpiece is an antique soda fountain and back bar from the drugstore of Bill Kilpatrick's father.
Around these priceless antiques, made from cherry, onyx and Tennessee pink marble, guests of the Apple Barn enjoy hot or cold fresh cider, apple donuts, apple dumplings, fresh baked apple and blueberry pie, applewood-smoked country ham on biscuits and our famous homemade fried apple pie.
