Additional Details

Description:  Four generations of recipes from the kitchen of the Anderson House, the oldest continuously operated hotel in Minnesota, have gone into the making of The Anderson House Cookbook. Famous for its wonderful breads and desserts, the Anderson House has a tradition of homemade quality that has brought visitors flocking to the inn overlooking the Mississippi River.

Pennsylvania Dutch specialties such as Sauerbraten Meatballs, Pennsylvania Dutch Corn Chowder, and Apple-Molasses Bread are featured along with Pecan Meringues, Chocolate-Raspberry Cake Supreme, Grandma Anderson's Famous Lemon Elegance Pie, and other temptations in The Anderson House Cookbook.

Coauthors Jeanne and John Hall are third and fourth generation Andersons. Both have periodically left the Anderson House to pursue their own restaurant and hotel careers but have always returned to their peaceful family inn in Wabasha, Minnesota.
