Awhile back, my mother-in-law mentioned staying at the Temecula Creek Inn in wine country area of Temecula, California and that they had a granola that she fell in love with at first bite. She said the owners were kind enough to give her the ingredients of the granola and how to make it. Here's how to make their wonderful granola...courtesty of my mother-in-law.

Recipe Instructions:

  • 4 cups quick oats
  • 1/2 cup pecans
  • 1/2 cup banana chips
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 cup dark raisins
  • 4 cups honey
  • Vegetable oil

  • Mix all ingredients together (if 1/2 cup of each ingredient doesn't seem like enough, increase by 1/4-1/2 more each)
  • Spread on cookie sheet
  • Grease cookie sheet lightly with a little oil
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes at 300 degrees until brown. Watch carefully so it doesn't burn
