Mom's Vegetarian Chopped Liver Recipe
These is a family favorite holiday and gathering mock vegetarian chopped liver recipe. It tastes remarkably like the real thing.
Recipe Instructions:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup ground pecans
- 1 can (8oz.) petite point peas (Petit peas)
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 3 hard boiled eggs
- 1 Tablespoon oil
- 1 Tablespoon margarine
- 1 Tablespoon water
- Salt
- Pepper
Preparation:
- Saute onion in oil and margarine until pale and translucent
- Drain peas
- Process with egg
- Add onions, salt and pepper to taste, plus water
- Process well
- Add to nuts and mix well
