Inquiries

Inventory

We are a used cookbooks stores therefore we generally only have one of each book in our inventory. Occasionally we have a second item on hand in our stock room that has not been listed. Please email us if you have a cookbook on your wish list.

Ordering

If you are having issues with placing your order online, please email us at twobratkatz@yahoo.com and we will assist you. Please include your email address, first and last name, item(s) you are attempting to purchase, notes on your issue/errors, phone number (including area code) where we may reach you and best times to phone if we can't resolve your issue through email.

Order Status

Please use our Order Status form to check the status of your order and look up your shipping tracking number. We do send you the tracking number via our PayPal shipping application at the time of processing your shipment. The Order Status form is for additional convenience should you want a handy overview of your order and its status.

Payments

We accept American Express, Discover, Mastercard, PayPal and Visa for payment. Our payment processing is handled by PayPal though you do not require a PayPal account to pay through our site. You may pay with your credit card. Simply choose the "Continue Checkout" button, fill in your billing and shipping information and continue to the payment screen to choose your preferred payment method.

Payments are processed directly between Shopify and our payment services provider, PayPal. See our Transactions information on our Privacy Policy page to learn more about how we protect the security of your information. When using your credit card, please provide your credit card billing address, if different from the shipping address, and contact phone numbers. If the billing address you give does not match that which is on file at the financial institution or if authorization is not given for any reason, our secure system will not process the order.

Paper Payments

We accept money orders.
Mailing instructions will be displayed after completion of checkout. Note that packages are shipped out after payment is cleared (generally within 2 business days after receipt of payment). We do not transact or ship outside of the United States. Money orders must be U.S. Money Orders.

We do not accept cash, personal check, or other types of paper payment.

Pricing

Cookbook prices exclude shipping costs and sales tax. Sales tax (applicable to California residents) is applied during the checkout process. A shipping calculator is available to you during checkout to estimate your freight cost before finalizing your order.

Product Description and Condition

Photos

We do not use stock photos to showcase our cookbooks. Each photo shown is the actual item listed for purchase. We work very hard to bring the brick-and-mortar cookbook shopping experience to your home but photos aren't always perfect. Please note that product colors, sizes/perspective and textures may vary from the way the photo appears on your computer.

Descriptions and Condition

We pride ourselves on bringing you detailed descriptions on our cookbooks with full descriptions when available. As our store specializes in used cookbooks, we provide the condition of each item in our inventory at the bottom of our descriptions. Try as we might, we don't always get it right. Please write us if you feel we have inaccurately stated a cookbook's condition and we will review the issue and try to resolve it.

All prices, pictures and descriptions on this site are subject to change.

Promotions

We periodically offer sales and special promotions such as discounts, coupons and shipping specials. Shipping fees are not applicable to discounts and are not factored into order totals used to apply discounts.

Purchasing or Cookbook Buy-In

Cookbook Village does not purchase cookbooks or personal collections from individuals.

Return Policy

Please contact us within 10 days of receipt of your item if you are dissatisfied or have an issue with your purchase to request a refund. Payment of return shipping fees are covered by Cookbook Village if there is damage to your item other than stated under "Condition" in each of our cookbook product listings. If item is purchased in error by a buyer, we will accept the return and refund the amount paid for the book excluding the original and return shipping costs.

Sales Tax

Note to residents of California:  State and local sales taxes will be added to your order at checkout.

Shipping and Handling

We offer two methods of shipping: USPS Media Mail (Standard Shipping) and USPS Priority Mail (Expedited Shipping) which may be selected at checkout. A calculator is available to estimate the shipping cost before the final option appears later in the checkout process. Packages are shipped within 1-2 days after cleared payment. Please allow time for delivery. From the time of shipment to deliver: Media Mail takes 2-9 business days and Priority Mail takes 2-3 business days.

Shipping Discounts

We offer combined shipping rates on multiple book purchases that are able to ship together in one box. This equals more savings for you. Items are automatically discounted if purchased on the same order.

International Shipping

Items ship to US addresses only, no exceptions. We do not ship outside of the United States or to APO addresses.
