Description: The Muriel Stevens cookbook. A selection of recipes from Muriel Steven's nationally syndicated TV show and radio. Muriel Stevens, hostess of her own new nationally syndicated TV series, "The Muriel Stevens Show," firmly believes that "if you cook with love, they'll love your cooking." She has been cooking for as long as she can remember, first practicing on her three younger brother before moving on to larger audiences.
A native of Philadelphia, Muriel moved to Las Vegas in 1954 and broke into broadcasting in 1955. She attended the University of Nevada, studied Japanese cooking and the art of Japanese vegetable carving in Hawaii, and attended the Caesars Palace Culinary Arts School. She was one of the founders of the Consumer League of Nevada and now serves on its Board of Directors, is a member of Les Amis d'Escoffier Gourmet Society and Les Amis de Vin. Muriel has been acclaimed for her ability to unravel the "mysteries" of gourmet cooking so that even novice cooks can be successful.
