Passover Mandel Bread Recipe
My mother-in-law makes a wonderful Mandel Bread (similar to Biscotti for those of you unfamiliar with Mandel Bread). She always makes a great meal for the Jewish Passover holiday and this is one of the favorites at the table.
Recipe Instructions:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup mazoh cake meal
- 1 cup potato starch
- 2 teaspoons orange juice
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation:
- Mix sugar, oil, eggs and add nuts
- Add orange juice and dry ingredients
- Chill 3 strips in refrigerator
- 2 hours and then make 3 rolls (about 2" thick)
- Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon
- Cook and slice and return to oven to brown (3-5 minutes)
- Cook in greased pan in oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 40-50 minutes
